Spur of the Moment:
Quick, Simple Ways to Switch Up Your Look

Getting bored with wearing the same one or two hair styles every day? Ready to mix it up? Here are a few quick and easy ways to switch up your style without making any permanent or dramatic changes to your hair.

Always part your hair on one side?

Switch your part to the other side or straight down the center. This small shift will give you a little boost of volume and freshen your look.

Short on time?

Skip the shampoo and wear a cute hat or tie your hair up with a scarf. It’ll keep you warm during the winter and in the summer, protect your hair from the sun’s harsh rays.

Always wear a ponytail?

Instead of letting the tail hang loose, divide it into two sections. Twist each section to the right—that's important—then take the sections and wrap them to the left, around each other. Keep wrapping until you reach the end, then secure with an elastic band.

One simple way to switch up your look? Swap your part to the other side. You'll be surprised the difference it makes.

Wear a bun regularly?

Change its placement. By moving it higher or lower than your usual spot, it’ll renew the look without any extra effort. Simply changing the texture can have a similar result—make it sleek and smooth or big and messy.

Keep it down daily?

Take a small section of hair from where your hairline and part meet of hair, and holding the hair close to your head, braid the length and secure it with an elastic band. Bring the braid behind your ear and secure it with bobby pins. Let the rest of your hair drape down and over your ear, hiding the bobby pins.

Need a new short-hair style?

If you wash and let it air dry, turn up the volume in just two steps. Massage mousse into freshly washed hair, then blow dry while pulling your hair up and away from your face with a round brush. Once dry, run your fingers through and scrunch it into place.

Break up the day-to-day style with one of these quick changes, or talk with your stylist about ways to make spur-of-the-moment changes to your hair.
